M- Make up remover

Hello everybody

Welcome to the thirteenth day of A-Z April. Today I am going to let you know my favourite makeup remover. I hope you enjoy.

The original Garnier cleansing micellar water.

This is £4.99 and you get 400ml, but at boots it's usually on offer for around £3.
It says on the bottle that you can get 200 uses out of it and I do find that to be true as it lasts for ages.
All I do is use a cotton pad and put two to three drops on two pads and use one for my face makeup and then one for my eyes.
As it is a water based product I find that it isn't at all greasy and removes my make up very quickly and easily.
I haven't tried the one for sensitive skin as I don't really need it and get along just fine with the original.
This is supposed to be a dupe for Bioderma which is now available at boots for £10.50 for 250ml. I haven't tried Bioderma but I've seen reviews saying they are very similar to each other, so I would recommend trying the Garnier one first if you haven't tried a micellar water so you can see if you like it and you want to save a little bit of money.

So that was my review of my favourite makeup remover. I hope you enjoyed. What is your favourite make up remover?

L- Lipsticks

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the twelfth day of A-Z April. Today I am going to tell you my favourite lipsticks. I am going to be saying my favourite for each type of lipstick, so I hope you enjoy.

Berry- MUA matte in wild berry
This is my go to berry lipstick for autumn time. It is the perfect colour and I find that it goes nicely with my skin tone. As it is only £1 and Matte I find that it is a little drying but I just put some lip balm on before I wear it and it's fine.

Purple- Mally in Orchid
This lipstick is a deep purple and works really well with my fair skin tone. The actually lipstick bullet is unusual and it is so nice to apply as it is really difficult to go out of the lines of your lips.

Red- MUA in vintage rouge
I find it really difficult to find a red lipstick that actually suits my skin tone, so I hardly ever wear or buy red lipsticks. But this one is like a deep vampy red shade and it looks really nice. Again as this is only £1 it isn't the best quality but I do really like and I find that it lasts well for the price.

Nude- Makeup revolution in The one
This is my absolute favorite nude lipstick and it lasts for so long and is a beautiful colour. This lipstick goes with every eye look if it's natural or smoky. It is a brown toned nude so stay away from it if you don't like those colours. I think it would go with every skin tone though because it is so neutral.

So those are my favourite lipsticks. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog. What is your favourite lipstick?

K- Kohl eyeliner

Hello everybody,

Welcome to my eleventh blog for A-Z April. Today I am going to be writing about my favourite eyeliners so I hope you enjoy.

Liquid liner;  L'oreal paris Super liner perfect slim. In Intense Black.
I am really bad at applying liquid liner as I find that I just draw the lines too thick. So out of makeup that is the thing that I am going to have to try and work on the most. I have tried loads of gel liner in all different forms but because this is a pen applicator I find it so easy to apply so I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a new black liquid liner.

Gel liner; Rimmel London waterproof gel eyeliner. In 002 Brown
This comes in a little pot with a tall lid and in the lid there is a brush that is amazing and is really helpful when applying this eyeliner. As you could tell for the colour name this is in brown and I wear this when I'm going for a natural eye look during the day so it isn't too intense. The formulation is really nice and doesn't flake during the day.

Jumbo pencil; Maybelline Big eyes liner.
This is a double sided eyeliner one side white and one side black. I love the white in my waterline to make me look more awake and the black mixed with the L'oreal paris liquid liner for a really nice greasy smudgy smoky eye look. They are very pigmented colours and last all day another one I would recommend.

So those are my favourite eyeliners. I hope you enjoyed this blog. What are your favourite eyeliners?

J- January highlights

Hello everybody,

Welcome to my tenth blog of A-Z April. Today I am going to tell you about my two favourite moments from January so I hope you enjoy.

Okay so the first favourite memory is towards the end of January. All of my mum's side of my family came round to my Grandads house and we all had a lovely meal cooked by him. Nothing was really going on e.g it wasn't somebodies birthday we all just went to spend time with each other. It was really nice just to spend time with each other as we are really close but also busy and I enjoyed it very much.

My other favourite moment from January is making a better relationship with my Dad. We didn't really have the best relationship in the past but recently it has gotten much better. There wasn't really a defining moment that made me realise this but I just think that as I have gotten older I feel like I can express my feelings more. So that with that and both of us really trying to make it better and I feel we really have and I'm very happy about that.

So those were some of my January highlights I hope you have enjoyed reading. Let me know what some of your highlights have been from the year so far below.

I- Independence

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the ninth day of A-Z April. Today I am going to talk to you about How I am trying to be more independent.

As some of you will know as I wrote about it in my Goals for the future blog, I have anxiety so I'm always a little cautious about doing things really by myself. But I find that I'm getting better at it and trying to be more independent.

For example;

I think that secondary school has really helped me become more independent, as I am now in the second year. The first year of school I used to walk with my brother but now as he has left school I have to walk by myself. At first I really didn't and was just panicking but now I have gotten used to it and really don't mind.

Another way of trying to be a little more independent I have done more baby steps by walking to my friends house in the easter holiday. She only lives a few mins away but I didn't feel panicky at all and actually enjoyed it.

So those are some ways that I am trying to be more independant and I am trying to much more baby steps in the future. What are your ways for being independent? I hope you enjoyed reading.

H- Hair masks

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the eighth A-Z April. Today I am going to tell you what my top three hair masks are. The order of what I put them in isn't in order of preference because I like them all differently as they all do different things. Okay let's get started.

1.) Rub Rub Rub shower scrub - Lush
As you can tell from the name of this it is a shower scrub and meant for your body. It is make with sea salt though and is really good for your hair. I use this pared with Whoosh shower jelly, also from lush, as that has seaweed in. Them both used at the same time give a really nice beachy look to your hair the next day, so when I do beachy wave I use this the day before as well as sea salt spray. I apply the whoosh shower jelly to my roots and the shower scrub to the bottom 2/3 of my hair after shampooing. I then wash it off and condition.

2.) protective and volume hair mask- Naobay
I got this in a glossybox and I've never bought from Naobay before so I was very excited to try it. I was very impressed once I've used it and now use it around twice a week. This is formulated for all hair types and I find that once I've used it I find that it leave my hair really soft and silky. I shampoo my my hair first then put this in and leave for around 3 mins then wash it of, because this is really conditioning I don't use conditioner after as I don't think it needs to.

3.) Luminous colour masque- Maria Nila
Again I got this in a GlossyBox and have never heard of the brand. So when I gave a try I was again pleasantly surprised. I apply this after shampooing all over my hair. I then leave it for just over five mins but you can leave it in for three mins. I find that that it really hydrates my  hair after washing it of then conditioning. One of the best things about this mask is the smell, it's really sweet and reminds me of sugar crush by soap and glory.

Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed. What's your favourite hair mask?

G- Goals for the future

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the seventh A-Z April. Today I am going to tell you my goals for 2016 and the future. As you might be able to tell this isn't beauty related so this is a bit different for my blog but I wanted to write it anyway.

Become more confident,
I have had anxiety as long as I could remember really but in the past 4 years it has gotten worse then it was before and then in the past year and a half I have started having panic attacks. Although I don't really know why I have it for sure or like what started it, I'm pretty sure most of the reason was my self confidence. I won't say all of it now as that could be another blog but I just think the quicker I get a little more confident in myself the quicker my anxiety will die down. I know it is easier said than done but it's all about baby steps.

Try to stick to things,
In the past I've joined/done things and done it for around a month and then gave it up. I've done things like joined brownies, learning to play the piano and violin and joined clubs at school like the choir. I'm not really sure why but after a few weeks I would often just get bored of it and not enjoy it anymore, so then I would stop going. This year I'm going to try to stick to things to try and find something that I really enjoy like blogging.

Try to show my emotions.
I'm not sure why but I'm really bad at showing my happy emotions and it's something that recently have been really aware of it and conscious of it. At Christmas I was really lucky to receive a laptop from my mum and apparently when I opened it I looked like I didn't like it. My mum knows that I'm not good at showing emotions so she knew I liked it. I think that because I wasn't expecting it I was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. I think that is why I hate opening presents in front of people because they might think I don't like it when I really do.

So those are my goals for the future. What are yours? thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed.

F- Foundations

Hello everybody,

Welcome to day 6 of A-Z April. Today I'm going to let you know my top 3 foundations. I have put them into different categories consisting of my favourite powder foundation, liquid foundation and BB cream. I have combination skin so these are the types that I find work best for me.

Powder Foundation
My favourite Powder foundation and overall foundation at the moment is Mally Poreless Perfection foundation. I have it in the shade light and find that it matches my skin perfectly.

I use a powder brush and apply generously over my face not being worried to do a few layer to get better coverage. With just one layer of it I find it to be light/medium coverage but it's definitely buildable to achieve a higher coverage.

I think that this is only available for the U.K on QVC as my mum brought it for me to try but since then repurchased 2 more. On the QVC website it is £37.02 including a Mally powder brush. It also normally comes in her sets as-well so I wait for them so that it works out cheaper.

Liquid foundation
My favourite liquid foundation has to be the Bourjois healthy mix foundation. I have it in the shade 53 light beige and I find that it is a good colour match for my skin but it is just a little too yellow toned for me.

I use a make up sponge when applying this foundation as I find that it gives me an airbrushed looked. All I have to do is pump 1 pump of Healthy mix on the back of my hand dampen the make up sponge with water then apply. I find that this is medium coverage but it definitely is buildable without looking cakey.

This is available in Boots, Superdrug, feel unique and online. It costs £9.99
BB Cream
My favourite BB Cream is Garnier miracle skin perfector. The shade I have it in is Light because it is a BB Cream it isn't medium or full coverage, it is light so I only wear this on good skin days. The colour that it does actually give is a good colour match for my skin.

I find that a flat topped stippling brush works best for applying it. As you can really work it into your skin to make it look even more natural. I would recommend this to people who ae just starting out with makeup as it is very easy to work with.

I brought this at Superdrug You can also buy it at Boots, online and at most supermarkets at around £6.90

Okay so those are my top three foundations. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. What is your favourite foundation?

E- Eye shadow palettes

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the fifth day of A-Z April. Today I'm going to tell you about my top 5 eye shadow palettes. I'm not going to do them in order as they are all so pretty and I love them all the same. Okay lets get started.

1.) MUA Hall of fame.
This palette contains 12 different eye shadows. I believe that MUA picked out their 12 most
popular shades and put them all in one palette, so this is great if it's your first MUA palette as you are using the most popular shades from them. My favourite eye shadow from this palette is called Lion and is the third shadow on the top row. The quality of these eye shadows is amazing as they only cost £4. All MUA is available in Superdrug and online.

2.) MUA Undressed
This palette also contains 12 eye shadows. This is MUA's dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette, I don't actually own the naked palette but from what I've seen from it this MUA palette does look almost identical. I would recommend that you buy this palette if you are thinking of buying the Urban Decay Naked palette so you can see if you like the colours on you. This palette is also £4 which is 10% of how much the Naked palette costs. My favourite colours are Bronze ore (the first one on the bottom row) and Tawny (the third shadow on the bottom row)
3.) Tanya Burr Hollywood eye palette.
This palette contains 4 brown toned eye shadows and the packaging is so cute. It is in a gold card packaging with a magnet to keep it closed. My absolute favourite colour is Bookworm and is in the bottom right. It is the the perfect matte brown and great to apply in the crease of your eye. It is available at Superdrug and on feel unique. All of the eye shadows are amazing quality as they are very pigmented and not powdery. This costs £5.99 at Superdrug.
4.) SmashBox Glam Femme photo op eye shadow palette
I received this Palette from the Glam Femme set from SmashBox for my Birthday,so I'm not too sure how much it costs. This palette contains 8 colours, 4 matte, 3 shimmery and 1 with glitter. All of the shadows are not powdery at all and very pigmented. My favourite look that I create from this palette are using Wheat (top, middle row) all over my lid and Ignite (middle, middle row) in the crease of your eye.

5.) Urban Decay Naked 3
This is probably my favourite palette out of them all. I absolutely love rose/pink tone eye shadows and this palette is full of those. They are all of pigmented and creamy. I was very lucky to receive this for Christmas from my dad and I love it. This comes with 12 shadows and ranges to matte to glittery to frosty. Some of my favourites include dust (the second shadow in),Buzz (the fifth shadow in), mugshot (the tenth shadow in) and Blackout (the very last one)

Okay so those are my top 5 eye shadows. I hope you enjoyed reading. What's your favourite eye shadow palette?

D- Decorations for your bedroom

Hello everybody,

Welcome to my fourth day of A-Z April. Today I am going to tell you my top 3 decorations for your bedroom. I have all three of these ideas in my bedroom and it really makes my room look more cosy. so lets get started.

1.)  Photos
I have got lots of photos around my room and I love it. I have them of my Family at different events like Christmas, my friends and I at different times like Halloween, different pictures that I have taken at times like when we go on walks and quotes.
I recently downloaded an app on my phone called PhotoBox and you can print off different pictures from your phone. It is very inexpensive to print off each picture.  Once they arrived I stuck them to my wall and I think it looks really nice. The other picture are just printed from the camera and then put into frames. I really think its a lovely way to decorate your room as you can remember the happy memories from when the photos where taken.

2.) Ornaments
Not only do I think that they are a really nice way to personalise am empty surface I also think that when ever you go away on holiday you buy something that represents your holiday so that when you come back home you will see it and remember your holiday and what you did there. when ever I go away I buy something that symbolises that certain place e.g when I went to Wales I brought a little dragon.

3.) Fairy lights.
This is probably my favourite decoration for my bedroom. For my birthday two years ago my dad brought me some fairy light in the shape of flowers and they are the cutest things ever. I have laced them around my head board of my bed and because they look like flowers they are already a nice addition to my bedroom for they are even turned on. My bedroom light is very bright so when I have them on the give my room a nice ambience as no other light is on. The actual lights are warm toned which makes it even more cosy. I also do have cooled toned fairy light that are contrast to the warm ones.

So those are my top 3 decoration tips for your bedroom. Thank you for reading. If you have any other decorations then let me know below.

C- Colour correction

Hello everybody,

Welcome to my third day of A-Z April. Today I'm going to tell you how I use colour correction. I don't do this everytime I wear make up only when I feel like I really need to. Okay lets get started.

Green
Green is perfect to minimize redness. So on places on your face where you may have scaring, sunburn or acne using a green concealer is perfect to mute the redness coming through.

Purple
Purple mutes yellow tones on the skin. So if you a more yellow complexion then use a primer that has a hint of purple to counteract the "yellowness" of it. If you have also brought a foundation that is too "yellowie", mix a product like primer with a hint of purple or a little bit of purple concealer with it to stop the yellow coming through.

Yellow
Yellow mutes purple tones of the skin like dark circles. So use purple concealer under your eyes if you have bad under eye circles. It is also really good if you have purple bruises on your skin as it will also mute that.

Okay so that is all I have to say about colour correction. These are the only three that I use but there are many other colours for colour correcting but I don't use them so I can't say if they're good or not. Thank you for reading. If you have any other ways that you use colour correction then let me know down below.

B- Beauty tips!

Hello everybody,

Welcome to my second day of A-Z April. Today I had to write a blog about something beginning with B, so as you can see from the title I'm going to say my Top 5 beauty tips. Okay lets start!

Disclaimer I'm not a make up artist but I find that these tips really work for me.

1.)       Highlight your:

Tops of cheeks
Cupids bow
Tip of your nose
In the middle of your forehead
Inner eyes.

I don't highlight all of these areas daily but I do highlight my inners corners of my eyes, as I find that it makes my eyes look more awake. I also use highlighter on my cheekbones as it brings them out.

2.) Contour

I have been loving contour at the moment and have been finding that I have been doing way more then applying blusher.

As you can tell by the picture there is dark and light areas on the face. The dark areas are the areas to contour so - just under the cheekbones, and on the tops of your forehead in a semi circle shape. The light areas are the place to apply highlight. (read number 1 for those places to apply)

3.) Apply white or a nude shade eye liner to your inner corners.

I do this everytime I wear a full face of make up I find that it makes my eyes look more awake and bigger.

4.) When applying concealer under your eyes do it in a triangle shape.

I find that the concealer lasts longer when I apply it in a triangle shape. As the concealer you apply under your eyes should be a shade lighter to make you appear more awake. It also provide a natual highlighted look. I also fine that it gives me better coverage.

5.) When applying lipstick use another one a shade lighter in the centre of the lips.

This makes your lips look bigger.

Okay so those are my favourite Beauty tips thank you for reading. If you have any other tips then make sure to leave them below.
