What I've enjoyed doing recently!

Hello everybody!,

Today I have decided to start a monthly blog theme where I write about something that I have enjoyed doing that month.This month I have enjoyed looking at different Vogue covers.

The main reason why I have is because I really enjoyed looking at the different hair and make up styles on them all. I have been interested in looking at the vintage covers to the most recent ones, as it has been nice to see how all of the trends in fashion and make up have changed through out the years. Another reason why I have liked looking at them on Pinterest is to see if / see how I could recreate the hair and make up styles at home.

These are two of my favourites that I have seen on Pinterest:

This one is the March 2015 Vogue Beauty cover for Japan;

I really like this one as the bright pink blusher brings out the pink and white flowers on the eyes.The blusher also really stands out as the model has very fair skin. This cover was obviously for spring time as the colours are very vibrant and a lot of pink colours.

This one is the July 1939 Vogue cover;

This cover is one of my absolute favourite vintage Vogue covers. I think that it almost has a nautical feel to it with the white and blue colour scheme. I think that it also looks very vintage American with the same scheme. Another reason why I like it as although is was made in 1939 I think that it looks very 1950s.

So that has what I've been enjoying this month. If you have something else that you think that I will enjoy then leave it below.

February Glossybox Review!

Hello everybody,

Today I am going to do a February glossybox unboxing. If you didn't know Glossybox is a monthly subscription and you get sent around 5 beauty items. It costs £10.00 a month. This month's box had a valentines theme to it which is unusual for glossybox as they don't always have themes to their boxes. All of the items in this month's box were also full size which doesn't normally happen monthly.

I was surprised to see this as the box itself had hearts on the lid  and said 'love is in the air' as normally it is just plain. The main colours were red and white not pink and black (their normal colours). The tissue paper inside was also a different colour then usual as it was bright pink and the ribbon was white.

Okay so I am going to put the products that I received in order of what I think is least my favourite product in the box.

5. Wilkinson sword Hydro silk razor. Value £9.99

I haven't actually used this yet but my first impressions are quite good. I just believe that having a razor like this won't really be very different than a normal one as they all do the same thing but once I use it I may change my mind.

In the description for the razor it says that it has a water-activated moisturising serum which will hopefully be interesting to try.

4. Nicka K New York 24H Waterproof eye liner. Value £3.99

It was very difficult to try and decide what my next pick is as I really like the rest of the products that I had, but this eye liner is next just because of the colour that I had it in. I had it in brown and it is a Kohl eye liner I would only wear in my water line and for that I like a colour that is 100% black.
It also has a blender on the end for the best smoky eye.

3. M.U.A Power pout glaze low voltage gloss. Value £3.50

Again this was a difficult one to decide as I really like the product but it just comes down to the colour that I received. I got the third one in and it was called Raptune. It is a very brown shade and very pigmented.

2. The vintage cosmetic company floral slanted tweezers. Value £8.00

These tweezers are very pretty because of the vintage floral print on them. They are slanted which is very helpful for brow shaping and they are also a very good size, perfect for putting in your handbag.

1. Naobay protective hair mask volume conditioner. Value £10.64

I have already used this and it is AMAZING. I used it in replace as conditioner and I waited around three minutes until I washed it off. It is very conditioning which is very helpful for my hair as it is quite dry as I curl my hair most days and it has really helped to condition it. Naobay products is also always   natural and organic which is an added bonus.

So that was everything that was in my Glossybox this month I hope you enjoyed reading. if you have anything else that you would want me to do a first impressions on then make sure to leave it down below : )

Tanya Burr lip gloss review!

Hello everybody,

Today I am going to do my first review on this Blog and it's on the Tanya Burr lip glosses. Before I actually start the review I'm just going to say a little about the lip glosses that i actually own as I don't own them all. So then Lets get started.

Most of the Tanya Burr lip glosses that i own are in the older packaging so I'm not too sure that all of them are still available to buy in the new packaging. But I'm sure the formula is still the same in both packagings.I own 16 different colours and 12 of them are in the older packaging.I only have one full size lip gloss in the newer packaging and it's in afternoon tea but I have three mini lip glosses in the new packaging from her beauty advent calender back at Christmas time.

They are £5.99 each and you can buy them at Superdrug and online at Feel unique.Where you can also buy a few other cosmetics by Tanya Burr like her false eye lashes and her eye shadow pallets. You can also buy them on Fragrance direct for a fraction of the price but it is on the old packaging.

I would say that they have two different finishes just like Mac lip sticks do e.g. satin and matt.Tanya's lip glosses have one finish with the glitter in but they are not chunky pieces of glitter because you cant feel them when you are wearing the lip gloss. And one with no glitter and it looks more creamy.

In the old packaging and new they both have different scents. I would say that I prefer the scent in the newer packaging as it smell like vanilla cake batter.

Although they are lip glosses only a few of them are not that pigmented and give a sheer finish, most of them are very pigmented and could pass as a liquid lip stick. But one thing that they all have is that they are not sticky at all and feel very creamy.

My personal favourites are;

Smile, dream, sparkle. This only gives a touch of colour and has pink and purple glitter in but it isn't too harsh as it is very flattering.

Berry Picking. This is my go to berry lip gloss. It is a beautiful berry/muted purple shade with gold specks of glitter and is very creamy.

Macaroon. I think that this is a new shade as I had it in her beauty advent calender. So that means that the one I have is a mini. It is a very nice pink toned nude shade with silver glitter running through but it is only a little. Macaroon is also very pigmented.

So that is all I have to say about Tanya Burrs lip glosses. I hope that you enjoyed reading this and found it helpful. If you have anything else you would want me to review then make sure you leave a comment down below. : )

A-Z blogging April challenge!

 Hello everybody,

I have been talking to Megan about her recent Blog post. It was about her taking part in the A-Z blogging April challenge. As I was interested as to what it actually was and I actually wanted to know what it meant we had a conversation and she told me.

 So if your not sure what its about then it is this: you try to Blog everyday of April but not on Sundays.Everyday you would have to write a blog about something beginning with that letter, for example on the first day of April you will have to write a blog about something beginning with the letter A and on the second day you would write about something beginning with   B etc...

I thought that it sounded interesting and that I would give it a try. I am going to try to keep it up for the whole of April as by then I would be blogging for a few weeks and hopefully starting to get used to it. I'm not going to pressure my self highly to get a Blog everyday up though as that is a lot but I will try my best to as I will try to pre write as many as I can.

I have already started to plan what Blogs I'm going to write. I'm going to start writing them asap but I think it will be a lot of fun to do. If you have any suggestions that you want me to write about then make sure to leave them below : )

Welcome to Rosy Gold!

 Hello I'm Emily and this my blog!

On this blog I am going to be writing reviews (mainly on beauty products),different types of tags, teenage life and the adventures that I gone on. These might include different family holidays or days out.

I currently go to a secondary school in Gloucestershire and I am in year eight. I don't really have a favourite subject at school. I find that everyone asks what my favourite subject is and I never  know how to respond. I find that I always just say that I  like them all the same and that not one subject really stands out as my favourite.

I also have a YouTube channel also called Rosy Gold that I post beauty and lifestyle videos on. I started it to try and help with my self confidence and anxiety. The reason why I wanted to start this blog is because I could talk about things that would make a YouTube video that would be too short and still talk about. Another reason why I wanted to start this is that my brothers girlfriend Megan started a blog on here called Protect cast away and  has been doing it for a year now. She has said that writing her bog has really helped her confidence so I though that I would give it a try.

If you have any requests that you would want me to blog or make a YouTube video then leave it below : )
